Retirement concerns

The market has taken a big down turn and like many others I wonder how my retirement account will do. Most of my investments are on the conservative side since I am nearing retirement. For those who are younger and have more aggressive portfolios it must be super stressful to see the declines in their accounts. We know you basically just have to ride out these down turns with the knowledge that in the long run you should come out ahead, but still its a difficult time.

Also there seems to be concerns with Social Security in regard to long term viability, as well as, potential changes that might be implemented by the current administration.

Lots of uncertainty, amazing how things can go badly so quickly.
